NAPK prepares claims due to server rental surcharge
The reason was too expensive equipment rental. It also turned out that the wife of the business owner works at KSU.
The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption is preparing claims against the owners of the servers of the Declarations Registry – Altayur LLC – for, in particular, the return of funds paid in excess for the rental of their equipment. This was announced on Wednesday, November 4 on Hromadsky air by NAPK President Alexander Novikov.
“The obvious fact of waste and appropriation of budgetary funds”, – said Novikov, commenting on the cost of renting equipment.
According to him, now the Supreme Anticorruption Court has seized the servers of the Altayur company, where the statements are stored, and the Appeals Chamber recognized this decision as legal. With these solutions, servers are virtually protected from any impact.
“This means that no one can get rid of these servers and do anything with them. If the VAKS decision is canceled, there may be a threat to the registration of declarations,” said the head of the NAPK.
The head of the NAPK also said that the wife of the owner of the Altayur company, Andrei Martynenko, on whose servers the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption keeps the statements of the officials, works in the Constitutional Court. The NACC learned of this only after the resounding decision of the Constitutional Court on October 27, which canceled the article of the law, according to which the NACC must save and publish statements, he added.
We will recall, on October 28, that the KSU declared illegal open access to income and asset declarations of officials in the unified state registry. In this sense, NAPK was forced to close access to the registry.
However, a day later, in compliance with the order of the Cabinet of Ministers, NAPK resumed access to the State Register of Declarations.
