Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Minister was injured

Azerbaijani media announced undermining a car drone, who was supposedly the “Minister of Defense” and the army commander of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Jalal Harutyunyan.

The corresponding video was broadcast on Tuesday, October 27, by several Azerbaijani media at the same time, reports BBC News Ukraine. At the same time, the government of the “republic” backed by Armenia claims that the minister is alive, although he is injured, for which he was replaced in office (to see the video, scroll the page to the end).

The place of the attack was identified on social media. User SR_71 posted on Twitter geolocation, from which it appears that the attack took place near the town of Martuni (Khojavend).

The Armenian side, in turn, insists that Harutunyan is alive, although he is injured.

The “president” of the unrecognized Karabakh Arayik Harutyunyan wrote on Facebook about replacement of defense minister and wished the military a speedy recovery.

“I am sure that very soon he will return to the service of his land.”, – says the text.

Mikael Arzumanyan became the new Defense Minister.

Dazhalal Harutyunyan is also listed as a minister on the Karabakh government website.

Subsequently, Arayik Harutyunyan’s representative said that the minister’s replacement had nothing to do with the Azerbaijani video.

According to him, the video “has nothing to do with the state of Jalal Harutyunyan.” The speaker added that the former “minister” was injured in combat position, but his injury is allegedly not life threatening.
