The Cabinet of Ministers approved the company’s financial plan with an increase in employee benefits, despite the statements of the Minister of Finance.

The government, in a meeting on Wednesday, December 23, approved Naftogaz’s financial plan for 2020 with a net profit of 11,489 million UAH.

Payments to the state will amount to 58,113 million UAH.

At the same time, Finance Minister Sergei Marchenko noted that, despite the profit expectation, the company received 17 billion UAH in losses for nine months.

It also proposes to review the income and expenses portion of the financial plan, taking into account the violations that were discovered by the state audit service.

“The volume of gas production of Ukrgasvydobuvannya is taken into account, which does not correspond to the volume that was determined by the concept for the development of the gas industry, because the concept provides for the production of 21 billion cubic meters of gas, while the financial plan foresees 13.3 “, said Marchenko.

In addition, he asked for a review of the salary fund, which will be more than double. The minister stressed that the financial plan foresees an increase in the salaries of directors by 56% and the salary of an ordinary employee by 85%.

Despite Marchenko’s statements, the Cabinet of Ministers approved Naftogaz’s financial plan.
