According to the doctor, this is the first such birth in the region.
The woman gave birth to a healthy child weighing 4.15 kilograms, but the 18th delivery carried certain risks, said postpartum obstetrician-gynecologist Anna Zholkevskaya. The child’s mother does not breastfeed, but with a mixture, he said.
Over the past year, two boys were born into the family, on January 1 and December 29, Kukharchuk said.
“There were no 18 births, there were 16 births before that. If you count, she married at 18, now she is 42, she gave birth almost every year,” Melnik said.
The son was called Pavlik, he is the eighteenth child in a large family. Now she is raising 10 boys and eight girls.
