More than half of COVID beds are filled in Ukraine

COVID-19 bed load exceeded 50% in Ukraine

Hospitals are the most loaded in the Cherkasy region: almost three-quarters of the places available for coronavirus patients are occupied there.

In Ukraine, the occupancy of beds by patients with COVID-19 and suspected illness exceeded the threshold of 50% and amounted to 50.4%. This is evidenced by data from the Ministry of Health, published on Tuesday, September 29.

More than 50% of the beds reserved for COVID-19 patients are loaded in Kiev (57.2%), Vinnitsa (61.4%), Dnipropetrovsk (55.4%), Donetsk (61.8%), Lugansk (59.8%), Odessa (69.7%), Rivne (56.7%), Sumy (53.5%), Kharkov (56.2%), Khmelnitsky (63.1%), Cherkasy (73 , 4%) and Chernivtsi regions (50.1%).

At the same time, the number of new cases per 100 thousand of the population in 14 days exceeds the established indicator of 40 people in all regions except Kirovograd and Kherson. The total number of new cases in Ukraine is 109.2 per 100,000 inhabitants.

At the same time, the coverage of tests in all regions meets the criteria established by the Ministry of Health.

Let us remember that there are already more than 4 thousand victims of COVID-19 in Ukraine. The day before, 69 Ukrainians died, while more than 3.6 thousand new cases of the disease were detected per day.

The incidence of COVID-19 was also reported to have increased in Kiev. There are already 22,559 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Ukrainian capital. This is the worst indicator in the country.
