Among the three world leaders Ukrainians trust the most are German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Polish President Andrzej Duda and French President Emmanuel Macron, according to a survey commissioned by Info Sapiens by the New Europe Center.

In particular, 59.71% of those surveyed expressed their confidence in Merkel; At the same time, 24.13% of those surveyed said that they do not trust at all or rather do not trust the German Chancellor.
Slightly more than 48% of Ukrainians trust Polish President Andrzej Duda (22.05% do not), 42.43% of respondents trust French President Emmanuel Macron (more than 33% do not). The top five also included Alexander Lukashenko, whom 37.8% of respondents trust, and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson with a confidence level of 36.75% (24.43% do not trust the head of the British government).
The highest level of mistrust among the Ukrainians surveyed is in Russian President Vladimir Putin. Two out of three respondents (72.45%) do not trust him. The three world leaders who most distrust the citizens of Ukraine are also the current US president, Donald Trump (50.37%) and Alexander Lukashenko, who considers himself president of Belarus (48.28%).

The survey was conducted from November 6 to 19, 2020 in all regions of Ukraine, except for the occupied regions of the Donetsk and Lugansk and Crimea regions, using personal interviews at home with the respondents. The study involved 2,029 citizens over the age of 18. The theoretical sampling error does not exceed 2.2%.
