The Ministry of Health predicts 35 thousand cases of viral morbidity in Ukraine per day in the worst cases. The forecast includes both the coronavirus and the flu.

This was stated in the RBC-Ukraine comments by the Director of the Public Health Center Igor Kuzin.

According to the forecast, this number of diseases is possible in late October, early November.

“The worst-case scenario that was calculated is 35,000 daily cases of the disease,” Kuzin said.

He noted that the scenario of 20,000 new cases of the disease per day is quite realistic.

“Now it is very difficult to make accurate forecasts, but the forecasts for the daily amount of 20 thousand are quite realistic. Because we already see acute respiratory diseases, infections. It is likely that if the trends that are now registered continue, then the figure of 20 thousand it’s quite real, “added Kuzin.

According to him, in the current scenario, such figures are possible in three or four weeks.

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine wrote that the Ministry of Health predicts the peak of the viral disease epidemic at the end of November.

Note that 4,766 new coronavirus cases are confirmed in Ukraine per day. Since the start of the pandemic, more than 300,000 people have already fallen ill in the country.
