Former Prime Minister of Moldova Maia Sandu, who is running for the presidency, in an interview with the founder of the publication “GORDON” Dmitry Gordon, told about the plan for Transnistria that Dmitry Kozak had, who is now the deputy head of the administration presidential.

The document is known as the “Kozak memorandum” and was prepared in 2003.

“We found out about this memo after it had already failed. Because the process was not open. Only a few people knew. From what we see, because today the document is available online, it can be read, the then president [Молдовы] Mr [Владимир] Voronin said “no” to this memo at the last minute. But everyone understands that this memorandum would grant special power, if I may say so, to Transnistria both in relation to Moldova’s foreign policy and domestic policy, ”said Sandu.

According to her, “it was unacceptable for Moldova.”

“That is, even President Voronin, who everyone then saw as pro-Russian, realized that he could not sign such an agreement. But we already found out and saw all this after everything happened. That is, it did not happen. We found out later. ” noted the former prime minister of Moldova.
