After the fight, Nurmagomedov burst into tears, said he dedicated the victory to his father, who had also been his coach, who had passed away a few months ago, and announced his retirement.
“When they called about the fight with Gagee, I discussed with my mother for three days whether I should go to the fight without my father. I promised her that this would be my last fight,” he explained.
