A coefficient system will be introduced for family doctors
This year, the family doctor receives 600 hryvnias per patient and next year the amount will increase to 710 hryvnias.
Starting next year, the fee for family doctors for primary health care will increase in Ukraine, Health Minister Maxim Stepanov said on Tuesday, September 22.
“An amount is paid for each declaration made – this year it is 600 UAH, next year it will be 710 UAH. We have increased the fee. It has not been increased for two years,” he said.
In this case, the payment for the work of a family doctor will depend on the coefficients.
“In addition to the number of patients this family doctor has, there are also individual characteristics of the patients. They may be overwhelmingly hypertensive, diabetic. Or a family doctor works in mountainous areas. We include all these characteristics in the calculation of the financing of primary care through the coefficients “, – explained Stepanov.
In addition, he noted that coefficients for the quality of primary health care will be introduced.
“For example, the issue of immunization. A doctor must vaccinate the patients with whom he has a contract. We have committed an additional amount of money for the management of outpatients with tuberculosis,” said the minister.
At the moment, about 31 million Ukrainians have signed statements with family doctors. In total, in 2021, family doctors should receive 23 billion UAH.
