Ministry of Health announced an improvement in the dynamics of the coronavirus

The reason for the improvement in the situation was the implementation of anti-epidemic measures. The weekend quarantine has worked, Maxim Stepanov said.

In Ukraine, the number of COVID-19 coronavirus cases from November 30 to December 6 decreased by around 7.5 thousand compared to the previous week. This is the first decline in weekly growth since August, Health Minister Maxim Stepanov said during a press conference on Monday, December 7.

“In the previous week, 89,322 thousand people fell ill. Starting in late August, for the first time, there was a decrease in the number of cases compared to the previous week. From November 23 to 29 there were 96,936 thousand patients, in the week from November 30 to December 6 – 89,322 thousand patients, which is almost 7.5 thousand less, “said Stepanov.

At the same time, according to him, the number of tests, as in the previous week, amounted to 279 thousand.

“During the week, 10.1 thousand people were hospitalized, in the previous week 11,606 thousand people, that is, 1.5 thousand fewer people. The reason was the implementation of anti-epidemic measures. This is another confirmation that the weekend quarantine worked, and we see it. Yes, we did not get the maximum effect (reduction in the number of patients by 20% – ed.), But we did get a reduction in dynamics, “added Stepanov.

We will remember, in Ukraine on the third day the growth of COVID-19 falls. In the last 24 hours, 8,641 new cases of coronavirus have been registered. 145 patients died and 5,123 recovered.
