The miners threatened the Ukrainian authorities with new protests

The miners will start a revolt in Ukraine if they are not paid their legal salary before December 20, for which 1.4 billion UAH was allocated. This was announced on Sunday, December 13, on the official Facebook account by the leader of the miners’ unions Mikhail Volynets.
“Due to the threats of manipulation, which became obvious last week, we do not lose sight of the issue of the allocation of 1.4 billion UAH to pay the wage arrears of the miners. promised, we are starting a protest action in Ukraine, “Volynets wrote.
According to him, the labor collectives of the mines are demanding to find a way out of the critical situation that has arisen in the Vostok GOK, which specializes in the extraction of uranium ore.
“If the authorities do not find the opportunity to resume the work of the company with 5,000 employees and pay them 143 million UAH in wage arrears, this week the miners will block the roads of national importance in the Kirovograd region,” warned the union leader.
According to Volynts, by the end of the week the results of the inspection by the State Labor Service of the execution by the administration of PJSC “Kryvbaszhelezrudok” of the order to eliminate 190 violations of labor law are expected.
“The violations in the substructural units of KZhRK were discovered in September, when the miners started a clandestine protest. Then, at the initiative of the Independent Union of Miners of Ukraine, the Prime Minister ordered an inspection,” he stressed.
Volynets also said that on Tuesday, December 15, “the trial of the participants in the underground protest in KZhRK should begin at 9 am.”
Recall that the miners of some mines in the Volyn and Lvov regions stopped working, demanding payment of back wages.
On the eve it was reported that three uranium mines in the Kirovograd region announced the completion of their work. All divisions of the SE Vostok GOK company come to a standstill and completely stop the production process.
