On December 29, investigators from the National Police of Ukraine searched the home of the former people’s deputy and beneficial owner of Ukrbud Development LLC, Maksim Mykytas. Later he suspicion announced in a criminal kidnapping case.
The editor of “Censor.Net”, Yuri Butusov, wrote about the search on Facebook, citing sources from the National Anti-Corruption Office (NABU) and the National Police. Shortly after, the Ministry of the Interior confirmed that the businessman, suspected of taking possession of the property of the National Guard, was also informed of the suspicion of having ordered the kidnapping of a lawyer from a capital company.
“The search continued at 9:30. Mikitas continues to be guarded by NABU special forces. The lawyers are preparing a statement,” he said.
According to him, on the testimony, documents and evidence presented by Mikitasem, suspicion against Former “Ukrbud” Employee, Now Deputy Director of the President’s Office for Law Enforcement Oleg Tatarov… At the same time, the investigators did not raise suspicions at Mikitasu.
Tatarov also continues to work at the OPU. The Attorney General’s Office decided to transfer his case to the Security Service, but NABU refuses to do so, since all anti-corruption cases are the exclusive competence of the Office.
On December 28, Maxim Mikitas petitioned Attorney General Irina Venediktova to consider her case only at NABU. After the National Police raised suspicions against the former head of “Ukrbud” for a crime not related to corruption.

The Interior Ministry in its official Telegram channel indicates that the owner of a well-known construction company was informed about the suspicion of ordering the kidnapping of a human rights defender and extortion. The incident occurred on December 8 in Kiev, when four people kidnapped a lawyer from a company providing legal services to a suspect.
Then, within a few hours, the police arrested the perpetrators and subsequently identified the direct client of the crime. It turned out to be Maksim Mikitas, and the organizer was the leader of a criminal group, who is now in custody for committing murder.
We will remember that previously the NPU confirmed the information from OBOZREVATEL that the former People’s deputy Maxim Mikitas could be involved to kidnapping – lawyer Oleg Miroshnichenko.
He allegedly gave the human rights activist a bribe of $ 800,000 to “organize” the necessary decision in court. But the lawyer “did not resolve” the issue. As a result, Mikitas “ordered” the kidnapping of four people to “pay off the debt.” Miroshnichenko works for Kirichenko & Partners, which previously provided legal services to Mikitas.
They tried to kidnap him on December 8 at around 1:00 p.m. on Knyazhy Zaton Street in the Darnytskyi district of Kiev. The names of the kidnappers: Sergey Sergeevich Chernov (born 1980), Yuri Vasilievich Opanasenko (born 1974), Ali Khalanovich Gaziev (born 1988), Alvi Movlievich Vutsaev (born 1988).

OBOZREVATEL sources affirm that the forces of order have correspondence between the former popular deputy and a lawyer. In his opinion, this evidence could compel NABU reconsider Mikitasya’s deal with the investigation, according to which he was released early from the detention center.
Mikitas was released from the Lukyanovskiy SIZO on December 2. The NABU press service said that voluntarily reimbursed the state budget of Ukraine 50 million hryvnia of damages in the case of “Ukrbud”… Although the total amount of losses amounted to 81.64 million UAH.
