On September 19, the main miracle of the Archangel Michael, which he performed near Hierapolis, is remembered. In this place there was a temple, and next to it was a fountain with healing water. This temple was erected in honor of Michael by one of the local residents in gratitude for the fact that the archangel healed his daughter from muteness.

Later, for more than half a century, Archipp of Herotopes served as a sacristan in this temple. So the pagans decided to destroy the temple to destroy Archippus. They managed to connect the mighty river streams and direct them to the temple. Then Archippus began to pray to Archangel Michael for salvation. The saint appeared, struck the mountain with his sword, at the same moment a throat was opened in it, in which all the water rushed. The temple was saved and the pagans fled.
