Conversations with mayors can take place in a conference call format.
They want to involve the mayors of those cities where the weekend quarantine is not observed to participate in the meeting.
The Office of the President is preparing for a meeting with the mayors of the city due to the violation of the government decision on the weekend quarantine. It may take place in the next few days, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing a source in the OP on Saturday, November 14.
“In the first place, they want to involve the mayors of the cities where quarantine is not observed to participate in the meeting. According to the interlocutor, there is still no exact date for the meeting, but it can be done today or tomorrow,” says the message.
Previously, it was reported that said conversation will take place in the format of a conference call today at 17:00. But the interlocutors of the edition among the mayors of the most important cities assured that they had not yet received an invitation to speak with the president.
We will remember, on November 14 in Ukraine the weekend quarantine began. Government restrictions will be in effect until 00:00 on Monday. The weekend quarantine will be valid for three weeks.
The idea of introducing a weekend quarantine was supported by President Vladimir Zelensky.
At the same time, authorities in many large cities refused to impose restrictions over the weekend. For example, in Lviv, the mayor’s office canceled the weekends in November.
