Medvedchuk spoke to Putin about Russian coronavirus vaccine
The head of the HLE political council says that “he personally tested the effectiveness and safety of the vaccine on himself and his family members.”
The head of the political council of the Opposition Platform – For Life party, Viktor Medvedchuk, during a meeting in Moscow with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on October 6, discussed the possibility of supplying the Russian vaccine against coronavirus to Ukraine. This is stated in a message on the official HLE website.
“I congratulate him on the fact that Russia has become the first country to develop the Sputnik V vaccine. I know that the registration of another vaccine is on the way,” Medvedchuk told Putin during the meeting.
He also told the Russian president that Ukrainians need vaccines against COVID-19.
And I would ask you to consider the possibility of this vaccine also being delivered to Ukraine. So that Ukrainian citizens are protected from this terrible disease. Despite the crisis relations that exist between our countries, I would like you, Vladimir Vladimirovich, to consider this possibility in the future, “Medvedchuk asked Putin.
In turn, the president of the Russian Federation said that “that possibility really exists.”
“If we have started this work with Belarus, we can also work with Ukraine. However, it is necessary for the official Ukrainian authorities to formulate their requests and needs accordingly. We are ready for this work, despite political difficulties,” he replied. Putin to Medvedchuk.
Also, the head of the HLS political council said that “he personally tested the effectiveness and safety of the aforementioned vaccine on himself and his family members.”
“I, my wife Oksana, our son Bogdan were vaccinated. They were transferred very easily. Due to their physical condition it is simply not noticeable. And the blood tests confirmed that there are enough antibodies, both for me, my wife and my son,” he says Medvedchuk.
Recall that on August 11, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Russia became the first country in the world to register a vaccine against the coronavirus.
Subsequently, the vaccine was criticized from various sources. For example, the United States criticized the insufficient testing of the Russian vaccine and Germany expressed doubts about its safety.
In turn, Russia has already launched Sputnik V into civilian circulation. It will be delivered to all regions of the country.
In addition, in late September, the Russian coronavirus vaccine was delivered for experiments in Belarus. The studies will be carried out in eight medical institutions in Belarus, two of which have already received the first shipments of Sputnik V.
