At the Ukraine-EU summit, which will take place on October 6 in Brussels, three agreements worth 60 million euros will be signed. Such an announcement on Monday, October 5, was made by a high-ranking European official, writes Interfax-Ukraine.
In particular, an agreement will be signed on EU support for the sustainability of the region in the amount of 30 million, an agreement on opportunities for civil society in Ukraine for 20 million and an agreement within the framework of the climate package aimed at develop a sustainable economy for an amount of 10 million.
The official also said that three issues will be discussed during the summit: the coronavirus pandemic, the implementation of the Association Agreement and a deep and comprehensive free trade zone and reform process, and the situation in the East with the implementation. of the Minsk agreements.
“At the center is the discussion of reforms. In this regard, Ukraine has made significant progress, but it is important that this continues, regardless of internal challenges,” he stressed.
In addition, they will discuss the macroeconomic stability of Ukraine, the implementation of international obligations and the need for the independence of the NBU.
“We hope that the leaders will reaffirm their commitment to strengthen Ukraine’s political partnership and economic integration on the basis of the current agreement,” the official added.
