Ukraine responded to the Russian accusation of murder by the Ukrainian National Guard Vitaly Markiv. The Ukrainian Interior Ministry called it persecution.

The director of the communications department of the Ministry of the Interior of Ukraine, Artem Shevchenko, wrote about this on his Facebook page.

According to him, this is another proof of Russia’s participation in the psychological information operation for the criminal prosecution of Ukrainians.

“Although the Ukrainian Interior Ministry will not allow the use of INTERPOL headquarters mechanisms for politically motivated persecution, Vitaly still will not have to travel abroad for now,” he wrote.

The Russian Federation accuses the Ukrainian of killing Russian citizen Andrei Mironov and Italian photojournalist Andrea Rocchelli. Today the Russian investigation has brought charges against the soldier.

We will recall, in November, that the Milan appellate court completely acquitted Markiv after the first instance sentenced him to 24 years in prison. He has already returned to Ukraine.
