Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Health and chief medical doctor Viktor Lyashko predicts that the mask regime in the country could end in late summer. He said this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine, published on Sunday, May 10.
“If the number of cases decreases, improves, then perhaps we will not be masked all summer long, but we will leave quickly enough. We will also open kindergartens. If we see that seasonality does not affect the spread of infection, then it will be more difficult Then we will balance these 350-500 cases, and the mask will become an integral friend with us until the end of this year, “he said.
Lyashko added that the next quarantine review will take place on May 22.
“As long as there is quarantine, until then we will be masked, with antiseptics and social distance. There is no other way. We are talking about the fact that we are developing a staged quarantine exit plan. We are already easing the restrictions as of May 11. The next stage of the quarantine review – May 22. We will observe the development of the epidemiological situation, “he added.
Recall that in Ukraine for the fourth consecutive day, more than 500 cases of COVID-19 are detected. During the last day, the number of sick people increased by 522, and the total number exceeded 15 thousand, with 391 deaths.
