The Belarusian president pointed out that today the situation has changed and, after the collapse of the Union, two generations have grown.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said in an interview with Russian journalists that integration with Russia according to the Union Treaty is no longer possible. The video of the conversation was posted on Wednesday, September 9 on RT.

The Belarusian leader explained that today the situation has changed significantly.

“Now they have grown two generations after that, and today it is impossible to carry out that integration,” he said.

Lukashenko said that in this regard, he began to discuss with the president of Russia the so-called cards to adapt to current conditions and develop new forms of integration under current conditions.

The Belarusian leader stressed that equitable economic integration is needed.

“If we talk about the depth of integration, there are no questions from the point of view of economic integration. There are no problems, the main thing is an equal basis. No, not to unite and divide everything in half, this is stupid, we will drown with this piece. It should be an equal base. ” – said Lukashenko.

Meanwhile, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Pesko, called the talks about the “takeover” of Belarus by Russia after Lukashenko’s visit to Moscow as “utter nonsense,” reports TASS.

“Of course, there can be no mergers, acquisitions, etc. as a result of the visit. This is absolute nonsense,” Peskov told reporters on Wednesday.

At the same time, the Kremlin spokesman pointed out that given the events Belarus is going through, this is an important visit.

Let us remind you that two days earlier the Kremlin announced Lukashenka’s visit to Moscow, which would take place in the next few days.
