Lukashenka criticized Kiev’s position on the elections in Belarus

Ukraine previously intended to impose sanctions against Belarus after the EU decision, but Kiev did not report specific sanctions.

Alexander Lukashenko criticized Kiev for its position on the presidential elections in Belarus and threatened to impose sanctions against Ukraine.

“These movements of your president Zelensky are a shameful game for the European Union and the United States. If they had not introduced sanctions against us, and Volodya Zelensky would not have accepted it. At least,” Lukashenka said.

At the same time, Lukashenka pointed out that he did not know what kind of sanctions Kiev had imposed against the Belarusian authorities. “If you remind me, I can tell how dangerous it is for us.”

Lukashenka also said that in Russia he was constantly asked why Ukraine’s border with Belarus was not closed.

“Are you imposing sanctions on us? Wake up! Make sure we do not close the border for products from Ukrainian territory. And you will not only be able to supply products to our market, but also process Ukrainian products in Belarus and supply all markets, mainly. to the Eurasian market, “he said.

Lukashenko also criticized Zelensky for not recognizing him as President of Belarus. “Whose cow would moan, and Zelensky would be silent,” he said.

As a reminder, on October 2, the EU introduced sanctions against Belarus. At that time, about 40 representatives of the leadership of the republic were included in the list of restrictive measures, but Lukashenka was not among them. Sanctions were subsequently imposed on him.

In Kiev, they said they would join the EU sanctions against Belarus after their introduction, but Ukraine did not specifically announce the introduction of sanctions.
