Only students loyal to the authorities can study at universities, said the Belarusian president.
Those who supported the protests should not study at universities, the Belarusian leader said at a meeting with the government.
Belarusian students participating in anti-government protests should be excluded from universities. This was announced on Tuesday, October 27, by the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, the BelTA news agency reported.
“Whoever has committed unauthorized acts in violation of the law is deprived of the right to be a student. Please send them, as I said, to the army and to the streets. But they must be expelled from the university,” Lukashenko said.
According to him, the same applies to teachers, “who behave disgustingly in universities.”
“I repeat: do not ask anyone or persuade anyone, it is useless. In the best case scenario, in this situation, we will push them under the pedestal. And then they will come out of there again. Therefore, it is determined where they want to live , how they want to live and what to do “. – summed up the Belarusian leader.
As reported, Belarusian security forces detained at least 210 people on the first day of a national strike launched at the behest of opposition presidential candidate Svetlana Tikhanovskaya.
