Dynamo assistant head coach Emilian Karas commented on the multi-player play in the first test match on training ground in the United Arab Emirates, in which the Kiev team lost to Legia.

In particular, Karas spoke about the game of Sidkley, who returned from loan, and Artyom Besedin, who was suspended.

– Sidclay returned from loan, how quickly are you adapting to the demands of the coaching staff when it comes to playing defense?

– It’s difficult for him, because the team has a new coach and he is a new person for a mentor. The principles of the game are different, but in today’s game he looked good in terms of working with the ball, he played well on attack and controlled the ball. In defense, there were no obvious mistakes on his part and, in general, in the second half we looked better.

– How did you feel when you returned to the field after a long hiatus from Besedin?

– Artem was looking forward to this moment, first, when he starts training with us, then when he goes out on the field. Probably the hardest thing for him is both in training and in control games. Today he fought, he held on to the ball, he was inflexible. By his movement, by his fight, he showed that he had a great desire to return to the team and fight for a place in the squad.

– Why didn’t Vanat, Lednev and Clayton go out on the field?

– This is because we still have games ahead. I repeat, Lucescu gave everyone 45 minutes to play today. Vanat cannot go in place of Zabarny to the central defense position. This game was played alone, in the next games others will be allowed to play; this is a normal process.
