The Central Electoral Commission clarified voter turnout in the local elections on October 25. At 10:00 p.m., according to the results of the processing of 98.65% of the information from the territorial electoral commissions, it is 36.98%.
This was reported by the CEC press service on its Facebook page.
“Voter turnout at 10:00 pm is 36.98%. 98.65% of the information on voter turnout has been received and processed from TEC,” it was reported.
The highest rate is found in the Ternopil region, 44.81%, and the lowest, 31.67% in Donetsk.
It should be noted that previously the head of the Central Electoral Commission, Oleg Didenko, said that according to the results of processing 97% of the TEC information, turnout in the local elections on October 25 was preliminary at 37%. At the same time, at 1:00 p.m., voter turnout was 16%.
As RBC-Ukraine wrote, the civic network OPORA reported that turnout in local elections at 4:00 p.m. was 27%. At the same time, in the 2015 elections, turnout exceeded 36%.
It was also reported that turnout in current local elections in Ukraine could be less than 50% of voters. OPORA Director Olga Aivazovskaya expressed doubts that turnout in local elections is high.
