The Central Election Commission recommends presenting a passport in the form of a brochure or identification card at a polling station to receive a ballot. It is better not to use passports from the Diya app.
CEC Secretary Elena Gataullina said this on Facebook.
“I recommend all voters to go to the voting table with a passport in the form of a brochure or identification card. As it will be possible to present a passport to receive a ballot in the Diya app only if there are technical devices in the PEC that are they can use to verify said passport, “- she wrote.
At the same time, Gataullina pointed out that currently there are no such devices in the electoral commissions of the precincts.
He also explained some other points about the documents required by the voter at the voting table.
“To issue a ballot to a voter, a member of the PEC must establish his identity, and for this the voter must remove his mask. When checking a passport, it is not necessary to verify the page with the place of registration of a member of the PEC, since now the electoral address is not always the address of the place of registration, “said the secretary of the CEC. …
According to her, the absence of a photograph pasted in 25 or 45 years in the passport “is no reason not to cast a ballot.”
Let us remind you that local elections in Ukraine will take place on October 25.
It was previously reported that the CEC approved the procedure for filling out the ballot for the 2020 local elections.
In addition, the CEC approved the shape and color of the ballots for the 2020 local elections. The mayoral ballot will be light pink.
