In 11 cities in Ukraine, the second round of mayoral elections will take place on November 15 and 22. This was reported by the Central Election Commission on Facebok.
Elections will be held in Lutsk, Sumy, Kramatorsk (Donetsk region) and Kamenets-Podolsk (Khmelnytsky region) on 15 November. In Slavyansk (Donetsk region), Drohobych (Lviv region), Uzhgorod, Brovary (Kiev region), Poltava, Lvov and Rovno – November 22.
On October 25, local elections were held throughout Ukraine, except for annexed Crimea and the occupied regions of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The citizens of Ukraine elected city, village and municipal heads, as well as deputies from regional, district, city, village and village councils. For the first time, the elections were held under the new Electoral Code, according to the proportional system with open lists. According to the Central Election Commission of Ukraine, participation was 36.88%.
The second round of the elections is held in cities with a population of more than 75 thousand people, if none of the candidates obtained more than 50% of the votes.
