The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved measures against the epidemic during the organization and conduct of local elections. These measures include disinfection in polling stations, temperature controls, etc.
This is indicated in a message on the government portal.
According to the adopted document, at the entrance to the voting table, survey on the presence of ARVI symptoms and temperature sensing… At the entrance to the premises of the electoral commission and the polling station there must be hand antiseptics, and also equipped with places for the collection and disposal of masks.
Facilities will be marked for compliance distance of at least 1 meter… The flows of voters to enter and exit must be separated. In addition, it is recommended that voters remain at the same time at the rate of no more than three people at a table to cast ballots.
Chairs, tables, and other furniture should be made of materials that can be disinfected. The use of cloth is not allowed on tables.
Election commissioners should sit at a distance at least 1 meter from each otheror use physical barriers such as transparent screens. Doorknobs, handrails, and seats should be sanitized every two hours and wet cleaned every four hours.
Voters must use hand sanitizers and wear a respirator or face shield. At the same time, members of the electoral commission can request to temporarily remove their mask to confirm their identity.
It is recommended not to take children to the polling stations. And enjoy personal pen.
Vote of self-isolation
Voters in self-isolation due to COVID-19 will be able to vote at their place of residence. To do so, you must do so no later than 8 pm on the last Friday before Election Day. Apply with health certificate (self-isolation).
On the day of the elections, such voters must independently, without handing them over to the members of the electoral commission, show a document confirming the identity and citizenship of Ukraine. The members of the committee that guarantees voting at the place of stay must wear protective masks, gloves and shields. And after each visit, you need to get rid of the protective equipment.
At the electoral college
If COVID-19 is detected in one of the election commissioners, all the others can continue working in the absence of symptoms. If there is contact with a patient without personal protective equipment, these members of the electoral commission are sent to self-isolation.
Once the counting of votes, the transfer of the protocols and the voting ballots have been completed, the final disinfection is carried out in the facilities of the electoral commission.
Recall, previously it was reported that in local elections they will not restrict access to voting for voters with signs of SARS.
