The Second Administrative Court of Appeal canceled the Kharkov Territorial Election Commission protocol on the results of the city council elections.
This is reported by Ukrainska Pravda with reference to Plaintiff Alexei Vats’ comment.
The court ruled that the electoral committee should “continue with the actions to establish the results of the elections of deputies of the Kharkiv city council.”
The lawsuit was filed by Aleksey Vats, a mayoral candidate from the Servant of the People party.
Vac wanted the court to declare the elections invalid, asking that they be repeated.
In his complaint, the candidate for deputy said that more than 100 protocols of the seal commissions were not stitched, contained incorrect numbers, corrections by a proofreader, etc.
It is reported that, according to the results of the elections, 34 seats in the city council will be filled by deputies from the Kernes bloc – “Successful Kharkov”. 19 – of the “Opposition Platform – For Life”. “European Solidarity” and “Servant of the People” received nine places each. Seven – in the “Sharia Party” and six – in the Svetlichnaya Bloc “Together!”
In the first round, Gennady Kernes was re-elected mayor of Kharkov.
On October 25, the residents of Kharkiv elected a new mayor and a new composition of the city council.
The second ballot for mayoral candidates will take place in several major cities in late November. The second electoral round is scheduled for this Sunday, November 15, in seven locations.
