Tens of thousands of schoolchildren are in self-isolation
Most schoolchildren and employees of educational institutions are ill in Kiev and the Ternopil region.
After the start of the school season in Ukraine, coronavirus was detected in 1,825 students and 2,799 employees of general secondary education institutions. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to data from the Ministry of Health on Friday, October 9.
At the same time, 85,847 students and 7,091 employees of educational institutions are in self-isolation.
Most of the students with coronavirus are in the regions of Kiev (410), Kiev (152), Rivne (148), Odessa (100).
Most sick school workers were detected: in the Rivne region (318), Kiev (302), in the Ternopil region (200), Khmelnytsky (176), Kiev (169), Cherkassk (168), Odessa ( 159), Chernigov (137) …
It is also reported that 3559 grade students are in self-isolation and in 334 schools the educational process is organized using distance learning technologies. In particular, in the Rivne region – in 50 schools, in Kiev – in 30, in Kherson – in 30, in Khmelnytsky – 28, in Chernivtsi – in 26 and in Zhytomyr – 24.
