There will be no additional restrictions on visiting cemeteries for Ukrainians on commemorative days. However, the police are asking people not to gather in large groups or to go to the cemetery with the whole family.

At the same time, the head of the National Police said that local authorities should inform and explain to people about the strict mask regime and try “not to allow tables in cemeteries.”
That is, according to Klimenko, it is not about prohibiting visiting cemeteries.
“As a general rule, on commemorative days, a large family goes to the cemetery, and this time lets one or two people go. In order not to have a massive gathering of people, as is done these days, especially in the countryside,” he explained.
The head of the National Police added: local authorities, priests will ask people to put on the mask and not to gather in groups. The police will only intervene in the situation in exceptional cases.
“When we work together, the state will listen to its citizens and the citizens will listen to the state. We learn to listen and listen to each other,” Klimenko summarized.
