The second test launch of the Angara-A5 heavy launch vehicle was carried out in the Russian Federation. This is reported by the RF Ministry of Defense.
“The Aerospace Forces Space Forces combat crew conducted a test launch of an Angara-A5 heavy-class carrier rocket with a general mass model of the payload,” the message reads.
The launch is reported to have taken place from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome. Pre-launch operations and the launch of the rocket were carried out as usual.
It is specified that this was the second test launch of the Angara-A5 heavy-class launch vehicle. The previous release was made in 2014.
