Representatives of the Ukrainian authorities have already contacted the team of the Belarusian opposition Svetlana Tikhanovskaya. In addition, Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba was willing to have a telephone conversation with her, but for official contacts “all parties must mature.”
He spoke about this in an interview with Radio NV.
According to him, before the official meetings, Tikhanovskaya should express a clear position on the Russian aggression against Ukraine.
“This is in your own interest, because relatively speaking, if you come to Ukraine and start talking to the media, the first question will be: Whose Crimea is it?” Kuleba said.
In his opinion, any vague answer will play against Tikhanovskaya herself.
“I am absolutely open to contacts, but, as they say, all parties must mature,” Kuleba added.
Note that in November he decided to take a position on Crimea and publicly declared that the Russian-occupied peninsula belongs to Ukraine.
Let us remind you that it was previously reported that Belarusian opponents received the Sakharov Prize. Svetlana Tikhanovskaya received the award in the European Parliament.
Before that, he had announced contacts with “influential people” in the Kremlin.
