“We can move to the test phase only if we understand that all possibilities to solve this problem with Iran have been exhausted. And not only Ukraine, but also other affected countries should understand this,” the minister said.

Kuleba sees the dynamics of relations between Ukraine and Hungary as another failure of diplomacy. The minister is sure that the Kremlin prevented Ukraine from achieving its objectives in the negotiations with Budapest. “In principle, the hand of Moscow is present in everything that happens in Ukraine,” he said.

According to Kuleba, Hungary sent a signal to Ukraine that it was ready to resume a constructive dialogue. “I will tell you, probably, an exclusive, I have not told anyone about this yet. We received a signal from Hungary that after a significant sharp drop in relations in the last month, they are ready to resume a constructive dialogue. And we will respond. positively to this signal. ” said the minister.

He promised that with the start of the new year Hungary will be in focus and “we will try to get out of the negativity in which we find ourselves.”

Furthermore, Kuleba noted that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s visit to Ukraine has not been removed from the agenda.

Among the successes of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Kuleba mentioned the effectiveness of its employees in helping Ukrainian citizens stranded abroad during the pandemic.

Another achievement, he believes, is that Ukraine has received NATO’s expanded capabilities partner status.

As a third major achievement, the Kuleba highlighted a new quality of bilateral relations with several key countries.

“I am referring to Great Britain, Turkey, Romania and, despite all the difficulties, the dialogue with Hungary is developing in a completely different way. As well as the creation of the Lublin Triangle with Poland and Lithuania, and the principled position that we have adopted in the region as a whole. ” – said the minister.

Earlier, Kuleba said that one of the main priorities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs next year is the development and creation of a qualitatively new and effective policy of the country with regard to foreign Ukrainians.
