Judges of the Constitutional Court appear in criminal cases of the National Anti-Corruption Office of Ukraine. These decisions were blocked due to the decision of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine on the declaration.
This was announced on the air of Radio Liberty by the director of NABU Artem Sytnik.
According to the director of the NABU, judges appear in the criminal proceedings who supported the decision to declare unconstitutional criminal responsibility for inaccurate statements.
“This is not the first decision directed against the anti-corruption infrastructure, but the first when the judges clearly acted in a state of real conflict of interest, in fact, some of these cases concern judges of the Constitutional Court. they could potentially be held criminally liable, “Sytnik explained.
However, he refused to give the names of the defendants in the cases carried out by NABU. Sytnyk noted that the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption carried out a “complete check” in relation to these judges.
“I can say this: NAPC carried out a complete check in relation to the judges of the Constitutional Court. And we already had a conclusion about the presence in the actions of a judge of the Constitutional Court of the corpus delicti provided for in article 366-1, and in accordance with this conclusion, NABU registered criminal proceedings “. added the director of NABU.
As a reminder, today one of the KSU judges said that he had problems with the NACP due to the late filing of the statement. He added that in early October he wrote a letter of resignation.
As reported by the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, the decision of the Constitutional Court blocked more than a hundred cases due to the fact of inaccurate declaration.
