Dear Leonid Makarovich, in this interview, a real hawk. He is convinced that Ukraine, with the help of the West, will win a complete and final victory over Russia. You just have to push.
But with his belligerent rhetoric, he is by no means a diplomat. But the head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Minsk negotiating group must simply be a diplomat. Otherwise, why make statements in the language of ultimatums?
Consequently, Leonid Makarovich, who is an intelligent and cautious man, has a directive from the Ukrainian leadership (and the Ukrainian leadership, apparently, has a directive “from above”) to interrupt the negotiations.
And Leonid Makarovich resolutely demands “the continuation of the banquet”, that is, increasingly severe sanctions against Russia, until the disconnection of Russian banks from the system of international settlements and SWIFT payments. Without even worrying about the fact that after such a step, Ukraine will not be able to receive payments from Russia for gas transit, buy nuclear fuel and anything else.
So we are waiting for a further aggravation of the situation in Donbass … and not just in Donbass.
