Kravchuk spoke about the plan for Donbass
In Ukraine’s proposed plan, the first point will be to end the war and regain control of the border.
The action plan for the settlement in Donbass must be feasible. This was stated by the head of the Ukrainian delegation to TCG Leonid Kravchuk in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine on Monday, November 2.
After the local elections, the resolution of which blocked the negotiation process, the Russian side made a proposal to create a so-called “road map” based on the Minsk agreements, Kravchuk explained.
“At the last meeting, I said: Ukraine will also prepare its own action plan, and in a week it will present it for your consideration. Ambassador Morel has his own achievements, there are serious achievements as advisers to the Normandy Four. I mean, we said that we will bring it all together. ” let the political group debate and consider all this, ”says Kravchuk.
According to him, the “road map” proposed by Russia contains direct instructions to the Rada and the President of Ukraine, which is unacceptable.
“Well, there is no such possibility anywhere in the world for any international organization to give direct instructions to the authorities of a certain country,” Kravchuk said.
At the same time, in the plan proposed by the Ukrainian side, the first point will be to end the war in Donbass, after which Ukraine should take control of the border and illegal armed groups and mercenaries should leave their territory.
“Next, the second step: then we hold elections in these territories, and in elections, according to Ukrainian law, legitimate authorities are elected. These are two conditions without which nothing more can be done,” concluded Kravchuk .
Let us remind you that Kiev is preparing a Donbass strategy for Normandy. The head of the Ukrainian delegation to the TCG noted that this year Ukraine is in a better negotiating situation than before.
