Issues of demining, prisoner swapping, checkpoints and others remain unresolved as Moscow presents new demands.

In the talks on Donbass in the framework of the Trilateral Contact Group, the Russian side is blocking all the Kiev initiatives, except the armistice agreement. This was announced on Saturday, November 28, by the head of the Ukrainian delegation to TCG Leonid Kravchuk on the air of the television channel Ukraine 24.

“We are not standing still, there is a certain movement forward. This movement is determined by the main decision that the TCG made on comprehensive silence on July 22. But there are no other serious changes towards peace,” he said.

At the same time, according to Kravchuk, issues such as demining, detainee exchange, checkpoints and others remain unresolved as Moscow presents new demands.

“One of the preconditions at one point was the resolution of the Rada on local elections, and now the precondition is the adoption of the road map prepared by ORDLO,” said the head of the delegation.

Let us remind you that Russia and the separatists refused to exchange prisoners until the end of this year because, in their opinion, Kiev did not fulfill its obligations under the Minsk agreements.

Earlier, at a TCG meeting, the Russian Federation did not support Ukraine’s plan for Donbass and at the same time adopted the strategy of the separatists. There were no changes in the issues of unlocking the work of the checkpoints and exchange of prisoners.
