In Berlin, on Friday night, September 11, negotiations between advisers to the leaders of the Normandy Four ended. As a result, Dmitry Kozak, deputy head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, said that it was not possible to agree on all the issues at the meeting, and the issue of holding a summit of state leaders was not even condemned. .

“There is no progress,” he said. – An exchange of views was held on all issues related to the resolution of the conflict. Unfortunately, I cannot boast that agreed decisions have been reached on all issues. “

According to the Russian representative, the summit of the leaders of the four Normandy countries can only take place after the implementation of all the decisions that were made during the last meeting in Paris.

“Even though one of the negotiators declares that the Normandy summit is the objective, we understand that there is no reason to hold it. If we meet to talk, we will postpone the resolution of the conflict indefinitely,” he said. Kozak.

In particular, according to Kozak, the issue of holding the Normandy Four summit in Berlin was not discussed, as was the situation around Alexei Navalny. “No, these issues were not discussed, we adhered to the agenda,” he said.

As Kozak added, advisers to the leaders of the four Normandy countries agreed to support the silent regime in Donbass.

“We agree that we will support the regime of silence, the ceasefire regime, that the additional measures that were taken on July 22 will be unconditionally observed, the mechanisms to ensure the ceasefire will be implemented both on one side and the other,” added. – he said.

The date of the new meeting of advisers to the leaders of the Four Normandy countries is still unknown.

We recall that the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, hoped that after the meeting of political advisers in Berlin, a meeting would take place in the Normandy format of the leaders of Ukraine, Germany, France and Russia.
