The day before, Donetsk Shakhtar beat Dynamo Kiev at the UPL with a score of 3: 0. At the end of the first half, Mircea Lucescu’s team remained in the minority: Sergei Sidorchuk received a red card for a hard foul against Viktor Kornienko.
Kornienko entered the second half, but was literally replaced a few minutes later.
