Kolesnikova announced suspicions of calls for the seizure of power

Kolesnikova suspected of calling for the seizure of power in Belarus

The Belarusian opponent continues to adhere to her position and, according to the lawyer, is in a “fighting spirit”.

In Belarus, a member of the Presidium of the Coordination Council, Maria Kolesnikova, is suspected of making public calls for the seizure of power. This was stated by her lawyer Lyudmila Kazak, reports TASS on Wednesday, September 9.

“It was unveiled today after visiting the customer and getting acquainted with the materials,” said Kazak.

He added that Kolesnikova is “in a fighting mood” and “adheres to the same statements and position as before.”

At the same time, another lawyer for Kolesnikova, Ilya Salei, was arrested after the searches, writes TUT.BY referring to the press service of the headquarters of the leader of the opposition, Viktor Babariko.

“Article 361 of the Belarusian Penal Code (calls for actions to the detriment of the external security of the Republic of Belarus, its sovereignty, territorial integrity, national security and defense capacity”), says the article.

Let us remind you that Kolesnikova was arrested and is in Minsk jail. Six of the seven members of the Coordination Council were detained or forcibly removed from the country. Only Svetlana Aleksievich is free.

It was also reported that Aleksievich had come to “monitor” the European ambassadors. Nobel laureate Alexievich remains the only fugitive from the Presidium of the Coordinating Council.
