The current mayor of Kiev, Vitali Klitschko, was nominated for mayor of the city by the UDAR party. This became known on September 18.
The corresponding statement was made at the meeting of the local Kiev city organization of the UDAR political party.

According to a survey by the Razumkov Center, if the Kyiv mayoral elections were held in early August 2020, Vitali Klitschko would receive the most support from voters. 36% of all respondents are willing to vote for the incumbent mayor or 41% of those who are willing to participate in elections and have decided which candidate to vote for.
Next in terms of electoral support are Andrey Palchevsky, Alexander Popov, Irina Vereshchuk and Sergei Pritula.
Note that the party “European Solidarity” in the elections to the mayor of Kiev will support Klitschko.
We will recall, on August 11, that the Ukrainian TV presenter Serhiy Pritula announced his participation in the elections to the mayor of Kiev.
As RBC-Ukraine reported, Verkhovna Rada has appointed the next local elections in Ukraine for October 25, 2020.
