The people’s deputy of the “Opposition Platform – For Life” Ilya Kiva, who called the boys who poured paint on the Stepan Bandera monument in Lviv “heroes”, received a “warm welcome” in the city.
On his Facebook page, the president of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Maxim Kozitsky, said that Kiva is looking for contacts of vandals to provide them with legal assistance.
We will recall, on February 11, that law enforcement officers reported that they identified and detained the criminals: two students aged 19 and 24.
After this news, a member of the HLO recorded a video in which he asked for help to find contacts of the suspects. Video of Kiva posted on Facebook (scroll to the bottom to see).
“Let us defend the heroes who were not afraid to express their position in relation to the fascist accomplices,” said the deputy in his speech.
“I have another suggestion for the People’s Deputy: that he come personally to Lviv to learn a little more about the personality of the OUN leader. We promise a warm and friendly welcome! Show real courage not only on television and in your videos,” Kozitsky responded to a member of the OUN.
Let’s add: the Bandera monument in Lviv was sprayed with red paint on February 5. Police said they had identified the suspects. These are students from the Lviv University, boys from the Khmelnytsky region.
Kiva’s reaction to the arrest of the vandals:
As OBOZREVATEL wrote, previous journalists found a connection between the Kiva people’s deputy and a company registered by a resident of the occupied territories of the Lugansk region.
