In the Kiev metro, a man assaulted a policeman
The man sprayed a can of gasoline in the policeman’s face and then tried to stab him and the passengers on the platform with a knife.
In Kiev, at the Slavutich metro station, a man attacked a police officer in response to a comment about the absence of a mask. This was reported by the press service of the Kiev City Prosecutor’s Office on Friday, November 6.
“The Kiev local prosecutor’s office No. 7 conducts procedural guidance in criminal proceedings on the act of committing illegal actions and violence against a police officer by a 42-year-old Kiev resident,” it was reported.
The incident took place on the platform of the Slavutich station of the Kiev metro. The man entered the subway station platform without a protective mask on his face, in connection with which the policeman reprimanded him. The passenger then took out a can of gasoline and sprayed it in the police officer’s face, then attempted to inflict bodily harm on the policeman and passengers on the platform with a knife.
To arrest the offender, one of the passengers fired a warning shot with a registered traumatic pistol towards the tracks. Then the offender was arrested.
The police officer suffered bodily injuries in the form of grade I-II chemical burns to the cornea to both eyes. Now the issue of informing the offender about the suspicion and choosing a preventive measure is decided.
