In the Kiev region, they arrested armed men who kidnapped a private businessman. They tortured the victim and demanded an exaggerated debt of 2 million dollars.

Among the kidnappers were four citizens of Kazakhstan and two residents of the Kiev region.
His wife reported to the police the kidnapping of a 27-year-old resident of the village of Sofievskaya Borschagovka.
The man is said to have been arrested in the morning near his home, put in a car and taken to an unknown address.
It was later learned that the victim was taken to the forest, where he was tied to a tree and tortured, demanding a debt of $ 2 million. The attackers removed 20,000 foreign currencies from the businessman’s electronic wallet.
The man managed to escape.
On the fact of kidnapping and robbery, investigators from the Kiev-Svyatoshinsky police department opened criminal cases under part 2 of article 146 (“Illegal imprisonment or kidnapping of a person”) and part 4 of article 187 (” theft “) of the Penal Code.
You can tell that the police managed to track down the kidnappers. Two of them, with the vigorous support of the special forces, were detained by agents on the territory of the Kiev region. They were men of 29 and 49 years old. The higher court chose a preventive measure in the form of arrest.
During searches at their places of residence, law enforcement officers found and seized a large number of weapons of various modifications, ammunition, cuffs, knives, balaclavas, walkie-talkies, wigs, gloves, mobile phones, bank cards, drugs and money. Likewise, the cars in which the members of the organized crime group were moving were seized.
We recall, two operatives of the Department of Strategic Investigation in the Kiev region of the National Police were arrested for extortion of 500 thousand hryvnia from non-existent debt.
As RBC-Ukraine wrote, law enforcement officers detained the acting head of one of the main departments of the State Tax Service. The official is suspected of extortion of 200 thousand dollars (more than 5 million hryvnias) for closing a criminal case.
