The current mayor of Kharkiv, Gennady Kernes, won the elections and was re-elected to his position. The Kharkiv City Territorial Elections Commission processed 100% of the protocols.

A total of 323,218 people participated in the vote, their votes were divided as follows:
- Gennady Kernes – 60.34% (195044 votes)
- Alexander Feldman – 14.32% (46278)
- Alexey Kucher – 7.24% (23401)
- Oleg Abramichev – 6.6% (21315)
- Igor Chernyak – 3.12% (10,085)
- Alexandra Naryzhnaya – 1.94% (6282)
- Nikita Soloviev – 1.3% (4199)
- Denis Yaroslavsky – 1% (3233)
- Sergey Kushnarev – 0.76% (2470)
- Igor Prikhodko – 0.58% (1888)
- Irina Denisova – 0.42% (1371)
- Valery Bezlepkin – 0.17% (564)
- Natalia Pilipenko – 0.17% (558)
- Georgy Lagovsky – 0.11% (349)
Another 6,180 ballots were declared invalid.
Previously, the Kharkiv City Council denied the death of the city’s mayor, Gennady Kernes.
Please note that the oath of Gennady Kernes, if he wins the mayoral elections in Kharkiv, may be postponed due to the COVID-19 disease. The functions of the mayor of Kharkov until his oath can be carried out by the secretary of the city council.
