Earlier in France, near Paris, a man on the street killed a high school teacher by cutting off his head. The attacker was shot dead by police after refusing to surrender.
The victim of the attack was a history and geography teacher who showed students cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad during the free speech lesson.
Macron commented on the crime, calling it an Islamist terrorist attack.
