Sources from the PSU and the Kharkiv mayor’s office said Kernes was in a coma, but whether the coma was artificial or due to the severity of the illness, the sources did not say.
Kernes was last seen in public on August 23, the city day.
Sources said he became ill in early September. I got to the hospital last week.
Recall that the information that Kernes has a coronavirus appeared in early September. Later, his press service denied that he had confirmed COVID-19.
On September 14, the director of the Department of Information and Public Relations of the City Council, Yuriy Sidorenko, said that the secretary of the Kharkiv City Council, Oleksandr Novak, was acting as Kernes.
