Every seventh hryvnia of state budget revenues is spent on servicing the state debt, the Chamber of Accounts calculated.
In 2020, servicing the state debt cost each Ukrainian 3,000 hryvnia, according to the Accounting Chamber.
“Every seventh hryvnia of state budget revenue is spent on debt service. Every Ukrainian paid 3,000 hryvnia for state debt service in 2020,” said joint venture director Valeriy Patskan.
He noted that Ukraine’s biggest problem is debt, which accounts for a third of the state budget.
As reported, in the 2020 state budget, 346 billion hryvnias were initially provided for the payment of state debt and, in fact, as of December 1, 357.4 billion hryvnias had already been spent.
“The total amount of revenue for the state budget in January-November actually increased. The plan was exceeded by 3.3 billion hryvnias. Less optimism about spending. In January-November, expenditures are 101 billion hryvnias less than the plan. The State Customs service does not comply with the plan. But I want to remind you that in April budget indicators were adjusted. Revenues, for example, fell by 116 billion hryvnia “, – said Patskan.
Recall that in the last month of this year, Ukraine has to pay about $ 350 million in external debt and UAH 27.16 billion in internal debt.
