“The judicial system in Ukraine today is one of the biggest problems. All of Ukraine’s international partners are focused on judicial reform, and we have to do it,” Zelensky said.

At the meeting, it was agreed that a meeting of the Zelensky Law Reform Commission would be held in the near future. The meeting participants also discussed the draft law on the Superior Council of Justice and the question of the selection of the Commission for High Qualification of Judges.

In addition, the participants of the meeting discussed in detail the introduction of the institution of trial by jury in Ukraine.

“Such a jury trial increases public confidence in the government judiciary. Reforming the government judiciary without a jury trial is impossible,” the president said.
