A schoolgirl from Kherson was the author of the lawsuit to the Kiev District Administrative Court to cancel the new spelling in Ukrainian.
About that “Public” said his lawyer Dmitry Ilchenko. “Although UTSOKO said that the spelling will be taken into account in the VNO, this does not correspond to reality. Because it is not known if this rule will be maintained when taking the VNO,” Ilchenko said.
Also, in his opinion, the Cabinet of Ministers does not have the right to approve any spelling, since this issue must be dealt with by the National Commission of State Language Standards.
